Your files and scans

Scanning, comparing photos, checking for malware and cleaning all happen on your Mac. DiskSuds reads file sizes, dates and metadata to measure your storage. It never uploads your files, scan results, snapshots or Guard findings, and none of them are sent with license requests.

Your license

To sell and activate DiskSuds we keep your purchase email, payment references, license status and activation history. Activation uses a one-way digest of your Mac’s hardware identifier, computed on your Mac, plus a cryptographic key that stays in your Keychain. We never receive your Mac’s name, serial number, user name or file paths. There is no account or password.

Payments and email

Stripe processes checkout and card details; we never see your card number. Supabase hosts our licensing service and database. Resend delivers license and recovery emails, without open or click tracking. Cloudflare hosts this website and routes our support email. Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.

This website

No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. Checkout and recovery use secure, HttpOnly session cookies and your browser’s session storage to finish what you started. Hosting and security services may process request details such as IP addresses.

Updates

When DiskSuds checks for updates it requests a signed update feed from this website. That request includes your app version, not your license key.

Questions and requests

Email support@disksuds.com to ask about or remove your information. We may ask you to confirm you own the purchase, and some payment and security records must be kept for legal reasons.
